Fancy Pumpkins & Gourds

These pumpkins are made by our most experienced instructors using advanced techniques such as cane (patterned glass rods) and murrine (patterned glass tiles). Commonly the cane rods or murrine tiles are fused into a sheet which is then rolled up on a blow pipe, closed to create a bubble that can then be inflated to the desired shape. These techniques require extensive skill and practice but allow for endless design possibilities
